i have a "syntax error" with a track i was working on, and for some reason it took forever to render. then it said a "serious error occurred" and i had to reboot.

i came back up to re-render. and got the syntax error.

i've dumped the cfg, i've done the VST hide, all the things that were done above ...

so if you get this error, the .als file is just totally gone. is that correct?

does anyone know how to automate the params for anything but the kick and the clap? when i view the params, i don't see snare, toms, hats, rim/bell listed.


any insight?

that was it. i set it so clock was the only thing working, and it seems to stay running, even when i drop effects in teh channel...what a weird issue.

whenever i add a VST, sample, channel, send, or adjust a parameter, my slaved microkorg goes silent. it will play through a song perfectly until i have to do any adjustments to any tracks (not specifically the korg).

i know that ableton is accepting audio, and is sending midi, but the korg itself ...

Sorted - just saved the .als to the Desktop and it created a new Project for me (as per the example in the manual - doh! :oops: )... then followed the instructions my previous post! :D

EDIT: Make sure you collect all the samples into the new project before packing (File > Collect and Save)

anyone know how to export full project sets? ie - samples, midi, song session arrangement?

a friend of mine that i work on music with finally got with ableton, and i'm not sire how to export a folder with all the data in it.

we used FLS in the past, and just made "zipped loop packages" that ...

i am a new owner of an ableton setup with my new delta1010lt card. my question is this:

how versatile is ableton for recording a band/instruments.? i do plan on using Ableton for my electronic productions (i write that as well) but i'm curious if anyone here uses this magic program for recording ...
