Re: Wordpress users: themes to make my site look less bloggy.

I like yootheme. They have a lot of templates - and a template framework called warp that helps you make your own theme. Plus, the guys that run the website are cool and helpful.

Holy Cow - Time Flies when You are Having Fun

I haven't posted in a while. I was just looking at my account, realizing I have been a customer since Live 2. I still use this software for most if not all of my audio production needs. Thanks Abletons, for keeping Live in the spirit of the early days while continuing to innovate.

Can 'o Worms

When I first logged on to the forums, I got a few sily jokes about my screenname, lol. Im mostly a lurker, looking for information - I usually post when there are betas. I'm a RL girl too.

This is great... a modular approach will keep Live in the more reasonable price range.

Hail Apple notebooks and their (relatively) low operating temperatures! oh, the older TI's and some aluminum PB's can get quite hot - i can feel for the guy, i've had an old 500 mHz Ti on my lap for a while and sometimes i wonder whether i'm gonna be able to have kids someday! Regardless of how muc...

Add-ons

Some of the major feature requests (video, surround, etc) could be provided as an add-on instead as part of the main application. This way, they could be developed separately, and features which I need I would buy, and others I don't want I do not have to. What do you think?

War is Hell - There is no question. There is little mention, however, of the tens of thousands of shiites and kurds who were killed by the sunni baath party. Those families suffered in silence, with their relatives buried in mass graves, while we tried "sanctions." The Iraqis deserve a ch...

Crackles

One of two things can fix crackles: Run Drive 10 on both drives to defragment them - YES, Mighty Macs Need defrag. Increase the buffer on your sound card a bit. THis also increases latency - so you will have to do the latency compensation thingy again. My old mbox used to need it's buffer increased.

I use a firewire HD

I use a firewire HD - It's a Lacie 120 GB (actually inside it's a Maxtor) - but any reputable external 7500 rpm drive is good. My powerbook has a paltry 3200 rpm drive. Great for quiet cool operation, horrible for music. Lacie has a rackmount kit so your drive(s) can fit in your rack with your exter...

Delta

I had live delta shipped with my audiophile. It is a crippled version of Live. The rewire only comes with the full version. However, if you saved the green serial number card, there is a generous discount for upgrading to the actual live using the serial number from your delta version.

Also elect some veteran users mods so they can delete these troll threads. Bioware.com (one of my favorite video game authors) does this and it works well.
