For some reason, my Axiom 49's pressure pads aren't working with the Impulse drum sounds. I've made it work before, but can't remember if its a matter of assigning the right output on the keyboard, or making sure the pressure pads are recognized by Live. Can anyone help?

Thanks guys, that clears things up...and explain why all those DLL plug-ins i had didnt come up.

Is the best way to find plug-ins just using google and searches, etc?

And I'm guessing DLL is just for PC?

Are all plug-ins for Mac and PC, or are certain formats for certain platforms? Can I find a list of what works for which? I'm a Mac user on a Powerbook G4.

What is the most efficient way to set the temp for a longer sample (orchestra, band piece) that has lots of variation in tempo throughout? Is it simply to go through and add markers to each spot, or is there some way to listen and tap out the tempo and map the taps to tempo changes?

Just realized...does platform make a difference for the instruments, or are PC/Mac formats interchangable?

I've been downloading various free synths from places online, and very few are working with LIVE. I put them all in specific folder and specify where this custom folder is, but no good. Do .dll instruments work with LIVE?

I know this topic comes up frequently, but I talked to someone today an audio store that confused me. Is it possible to use the Garageband/Logic instruments or the Apple Live Pack loops in Ableton Live?

Also, where can I find information on plug-ins for Live? Are plug-in's essentially instruments ...
