Sounds like your doing almost exactly what we're doing (also in portland);

Hard pan the channels Left/Right - I havent tried it but that should force the audio to come out of a specific output.

When I rewire fruityloops I tend to get these Audio glitches, where if I do something like add a new VSTi insto Fruityloops, all of the audio comming out of Live stops for a second or so... I've been using my Repeater with live... Its much easier to capture loops of guitar/bass on the repeater using my FCB1010 foot controller. After I capture some loops to the repeater i resample them up into live and can start adding effects/tweakin the clips'

I Figured out my problem! I had the Loop/Warp setting set to 'Warped Loop' in the preferences dialog... I changed it back to 'Auto' and now everything works great...
