Re: M4L Time and Timbre vs. XferRecords Cthulhu

I'd say they might compliment each other well...but there is not a lot of overlap: Cthulu is an awesome arppegiator and chord assigner... The Time and Timbre package is great for all sorts of things: TimeLFO assigns LFO's to anything in Live, MasterBlaster is an "output optimizer" (and its pretty da...

Re: Plugin Rescan button

perhaps the idea of having the rescan button in "options" is to prevent an accidental rescan at a crucial moment ;) I've got thousands and of plugins and it is a VERY long task to get Live to rescan them all (especially since some of them do NOT behave in Live currently...so the scan has to be execu...

Re: 8.1.3 vs 8.1.4b file sizes, etc...

thanks for the explanation, Nico. an option to have the "fully loaded" version or the simple update version would be nice and probably save you some bandwidth, too ;)

8.1.3 vs 8.1.4b file sizes, etc...

first- I am currently happy running 8.1.1, but have seen some new goodies that require 8.1.3 to run them... I see that the file size for 8.1.3 is over 600MB 8O ... I also see that the file size for the 8.1.4 beta is less than 100MB... my questions: 1. why is 8.1.3 so huge? 2. do I need to have 8.1.3...

Re: Help! Unwanted patch change midi messages

this has happened to me recently, but I *believe* that it was an actual physical problem: I have a Korg M1 as my midi controller kybd. I have a wireless qwerty computer kybd set on top of that. When I would start a song, I would experience intermittent Pgm chg's to my FabFilter One on several differ...

PB range select for Simpler

pretty simple FR...don't know how simple the implementation of an addition of pitch bend range select would be, but this would be handy and VERY much appreciated ;)

beat delay options in session view clips (for simple delay)

as it stands presently- simple delay has two modes: time delay and sync delay. When simple delay is in time delay mode, it is possible to create an envelope in arrangement view, copy that envelope and paste it to a session view clip OR you can also just draw unlinked envelopes for your "time" delay ...

vst management (workaround suggestion?)

thought it might be best to illustrate this request by explaining the problem I created for myself  : I just bought the XILS-3LE "no brainer" special at audiomidi I originally had the demo loaded, but upon purchase, I uninstalled the demo and installed the purchase version. The purchase was se...

yeah... glad I looked here before trying to figure out if I was crazy or just stupid (I *thought* I had played with looper in previous versions, but I KNOW I had it working OK in those...)
