Hello. I thought I only ever experienced this on one track but it's now happening on my latest one. I have the "strings - bright cello" effect dropped on a few midi notes. For some reason I ended up getting my instrument rack and audio effects messed up, I can't even remember what I did. I uninstalled Ableton and reinstalled it so that the effects and instruments would come back and be in the right spot. They did not come back. I had a friend who also has Ableton zip ...

Also, though the presets are on my computer and I ask the "Missing Files" to look in the exact folders where the exact missing files are, it turns up nothing.

it's not ableton or the computer, I'm on PC but Live runs fine on Macbooks
post your system specs.

turn off the internet connection and anything you don't need and FWIW reboot
options-preferences-midi turn off any midi settings you don't ...

I think that by turning the "Mix" knob up on the MAudio, i can get exactly what I want. Finally I figured it out. I hope!
