Can I midi control parameter under mouse?

For the mobile producer there isn't much space for huge ass midi controllers. I was wondering if there was a way to control parameter under the mouse using an external midi controller, say the MacBook Pro touch bar? Would make automation a breeze!

Re: Saving to your user library - Sends?

HELP! This is the same problem I have. I absolutely love the idea of dragging and dropping tracks and effects from Live to the browser for future use. I have configured a set of sends for a template - I'd like to save the whole bunch to be used in other projects but Live won't let me! Is there a rea...

Is there a buffer-sampler that can pitch up/down on the fly?

I'm looking for a device that can freeze a sample/incoming audio, then be able to pitch that sample up or down on the fly with a knob.

I tried grain-delay or some such device and was disappointed with the results.

Re: How do I slip audio in the arrangement page?

Do you mean like when you hold alt and move the start marker? So that you can shift the clip audio 'window' without adjusting clip start/end points? Actually just moving the start marker without any modifier, works. Now, how do I do that with multiple tracks at once? For say, multi-track recordings?

Re: Huge latency even though buffer set at 128 samples

Then I remembered to turn off Delay Compensation (which includes turning off Reduced Latency when Monitoring) and voila! Latency got properly itsy-bitsy at 128 samples. :) THANK YOU! That worked. But ofc the vocals were all out of sync, due to the various plugins used. So, workflow is to turn off d...

How do I slip audio in the arrangement page?

I'd like to slip the audio within a bunch of clips together so that it moves left or right without changing clip position. The clips are unwarped. Is there any way to achieve this?

Huge latency even though buffer set at 128 samples

There's something really odd happening in my setup. For some reason, even though my RME HDSP 9652 buffers are set to 128 samples, there's a ~8 ms delay in everything I play. This is in Live 9.6.2. It sounds like the buffer was set to 1024. Also, my MIDI CC messages aren't coming through but the keys...

Midi learn/CC not working, but midi notes are working!

I'm on Live 9.6.2. For some reason my midi CCs aren't going to Live devices. The notes are working fine but any CC is skipped out. Help!

Bug in File Manager

Live 9.6.2 official build:

Go to View->File Manager->Manage Set->View Files.

The last entry is hidden because the scrollbar doesn't go that far. If you point your cursor at it though you can access it.

Had my head scratching for a while. :)

I'm completely blocked by Live 9.5 crash (project wont play)

This is on their latest beta, which I tried hoping it would solve my crash issues. Made them 10x worse. Now I can't even play my project. Crashes instantly on play. Narrowed down to the offending track posted in the screen shot. I've sent two crash reports to Ableton with no response. http://i.imgur...

Re: Live v9.5 performs better WITHOUT Multi-core support!!

Live has been struggling to play a moderate sized project (60 tracks) in my i7 2600K/20GB ram DAW with RME Babyface, which used to run 120+ tracks in Reaper without breaking a sweat at 256 samples. It is notable that this is my first serious project in Live after moving away from Reaper. This proje...

Re: Live is in crashville and doesn't want to move...

Reverb Pro in Max essentials crashes Live 9.5 every time I drag it in. I'm going to reinstall Live beta it's more up to date than the official release. Oh damn - I DO have Convolution reverb Pro in my sends, so maybe this is the culprit. I've signed up for beta testing. When I get the latest beta I...

Re: Live v9.5 performs better WITHOUT Multi-core support!!

With all the stuttering I tried turning off Multicore support and lo-and-behold it actually got rid of a lot of the audio glitches. THe CPU now runs at 65-70% as opposed to 45% but the performance seems noticeably improved. What should I gather from this? Is Ableton poorly optimized for multi-core ...

Re: Live v9.5 performs better WITHOUT Multi-core support!!

live can only assign one of the 4 cores to a single track....so if you have tons of stuff on one track....and you only have one track in your project, that could actually max it out. then if you have 4 tracks with tons of stuff...it will just be the same but multiplied...but if you have 4 tracks wi...
