Cutting midi notes -> No way to undo?
Is there no way to undo cutting notes from a midi clip? I accidentally cut them, but when I tried undo it didn't allow me to put it back.

Re: Live 12.1.1 completely freezes my M1 Sonoma 14.7.1
The problem magically disappeared now!
All I did was unplug the dock, ssd, reboot, installed the latest live beta, opened the project (first in beta then in prod). No idea what fixed it, but it's kinda scary that this thing might hang anytime.

Re: Live 12.1.1 completely freezes my M1 Sonoma 14.7.1
Ok I've eliminated the following:
- External display: Disconnected the display from the dock and tried just the built-in display. 100% scaling.
- External sound card: Disconnected the RME sound card and chose the built-in audio output.
- QuickTime screen recording hack: Tried screen recording as ...

Re: Live 12.1.1 completely freezes my M1 Sonoma 14.7.1
A common issue people are having relates to the built in microphone on the MacBook having particular settings. It’s a very common issue, I don’t have a link offhand but a search should show others experiencing the same thing.
That is my first guess. I don’t know for sure if this is your specific ...

Re: Ableton UI unusably slow on M2 max
I'm having the same issue but on an M1 MacBook Air on Sonoma 14.7.1. I've set external display to be secondary, frozen all tracks in my Live set, removed NI plugins from sends, set zoom resolution to 100% and even closed my MacBook display so the external display is the only one.

Re: Ableton Live on Linux (PREEMPT_RT)
I'd rather they fix the perf issues for Mac/Win than go off another rabbit hole. I don't think people realize how expensive it is to maintain an application for a specific platform/architecture. It's not a case of "let's release this for linux and we're done". It's a rabbit hole that drains ...

Live 12.1.1 completely freezes my M1 Sonoma 14.7.1
This is so puzzling. I just bought the Live 12 suite upgrade a couple days back (from Live 9). Live 9 worked great on my Intel Mac mini i7.
On my M1, I created a project with a handful of RANDOM instances. The OS becomes unresponsive. I can't even quit live. I have to force quit it. But the CPU ...

Can I midi control parameter under mouse?
For the mobile producer there isn't much space for huge ass midi controllers. I was wondering if there was a way to control parameter under the mouse using an external midi controller, say the MacBook Pro touch bar? Would make automation a breeze!

HELP!
This is the same problem I have. I absolutely love the idea of dragging and dropping tracks and effects from Live to the browser for future use. I have configured a set of sends for a template - I'd like to save the whole bunch to be used in other projects but Live won't let me!

Is there a buffer-sampler that can pitch up/down on the fly?
I'm looking for a device that can freeze a sample/incoming audio, then be able to pitch that sample up or down on the fly with a knob.
I tried grain-delay or some such device and was disappointed with the results.

Re: How do I slip audio in the arrangement page?
Do you mean like when you hold alt and move the start marker? So that you can shift the clip audio 'window' without adjusting clip start/end points?
Actually just moving the start marker without any modifier, works.
Now, how do I do that with multiple tracks at once? For say, multi-track ...

Re: Huge latency even though buffer set at 128 samples
Then I remembered to turn off Delay Compensation (which includes turning off Reduced Latency when Monitoring) and voila! Latency got properly itsy-bitsy at 128 samples. :)
THANK YOU! That worked. But ofc the vocals were all out of sync, due to the various plugins used.
So, workflow is to ...

How do I slip audio in the arrangement page?
I'd like to slip the audio within a bunch of clips together so that it moves left or right without changing clip position. The clips are unwarped. Is there any way to achieve this?
