but how can we sell our stuff on the bigger download sites like beatport? it seems like it should be easy. all you should have to do is call yourself a label, send them the song, and have them put it up for sale. it must be ...

yeah what if we just call ourselves a label, and say hey, sell these tracks online, and then send them the mp3s / wavs? i imagine its not that easy though. what else do we need? a business license to sell the tracks?

what about selling your music through your own website using something like paypal ...

if live doesnt dither, then how does it downconvert the sample rate from 24 bits per sample to 16 bits per sample. it would have to dither, or do something like truncate the excess data down to make 16 bits. there's no other way.

so would it be a waste of time to just send out a song to many labels, hoping that one picks it up? do we need to know someone within that label in hopes of having a chance?

i really really liked it. M Breqs is right, the final scenes are amazing, with absolutley amazing filmaking. There was one point were all this stuff was going on (explosions...glass..shattering...people dying...etc) and he didnt even cut away! a lot of it seemed like it was done in just one take ...

When you guys say "networking," i think of schmoozing in some night club or at some dinner party. Getting to know a guy who knows a guy. Networking has always, for me, meant starting close relationships locally, and eventually branching out.

yeah its true..i find myself ripping off underworld every chance i get, but this is almost the exact bassline of a famous group. i would be fine with it if the song wasnt well known, or i thought i might be able to make a song that was better, but that song is a classic.

hey adam jay...i have a 909, which i believe can do the 808 style kick.

does the 808 kick have a slightly longer attack time, to give that duller lump sound?
