I have a few hardware monophonic synths.

Is there any way to record some chord sequences in MIDI and then assign different notes to a different hardware synth on different channels.
Eg, select highest note in each triad to ch1,
Middle note to ch2 etc?
I am sure duplicating the MIDI track and ...

So what i want to do is spend some time creating my own samples for future use, not as part of any specific project.
Maybe from an external synth, drum machine or whatever (or mangling exisitng samples).

OK, so a strange solution that i might need help understanding.
I rebooted the PC and now the files play. I'm assuming this is related to the driver issue Antic said... but why would I need a full reboot?

I have closed live after doing this (I should have put that in the note). Maybe i will re-boot.

I have an odd problem.
I export an Ableton set as audio, and it creates a WAV file. This WAV opens in Itunes and Media player etc, but will not play. No error message, just no playing. The applications recognise the length of the project, and i can move the "cursor" up and down the time line but it ...

I'm not in front of Live at the moment, but thinking out loud.

Could you map a series macro in Live so that each one plays the ratchet effect (when macro is turned) at a different rate?

I have solved the issue.

I needed to have my MIDI preferences set properly in Live
Input track – off
Output track – off
Input sync – off
Output sync – on
Input sync – off
Output sync - off

Turns out it was defaulting to have input track on as well. And for the TB-3 but it doesnt seem to effect ...

You know what... I have seen the same thing with my TB-3. I'm now going to give this a whirl on that. Hopefully that'll work as well

I just got the TB-3
I have a jack cable for the audio and USB from my PC for midi clock data only. I programme patterns in the TB-3 and jsut fire them off. I've kept a blank pattern which starts immediately, and then bring in the "real" patterns.
It seems you need to have the TB-3 turned on before ...

I think i called it tech house as it's not quite techno and not quite house :)

The idea of the long breakdown was to bring in the individual parts, which start at different stages in the bar. I'd slowed the tempo down to almost half speed as well and brought it back up ...
