Lets say I have an acapella sang in c minor. The synth I'm using sounds better in d minor. If I transpose the acapella +1 is it in c# minor or should I do +2 for d minor?

Same notes for sub bass or one long note during basslines? Also is it fine if I have a vst and just make a duplicate and EQ the dupe? Thanks for the help btw!

Are you saying the same bass (preset or synth) in a higher octave at the same time or have the bass at like C2 for a bar then up an octave to C3?

I'm having trouble composing my own tracks. When I do remixes of rap songs I don't have problems getting it to sound good or "flow" because Its like I have a template to go by as far as chords, beats, etc. I can come up with drums n basslines or leads but can't get them to sound good together.
