That is funny. I believe this is Live 1.5 as well. Well, contacting Ableton would be my best bet. I was also thinking this version did not have an upgrade path.

I have an M-Audio Interface that came with Ableton Live Delta. I have checked and it does/did not require a serial number, so there is no serial number to add in my Ableton Account online.

Thanks for replying. I probably will buy Fruity first, and then hopefully if I can get a job then I will be able to upgrade to Ableton Live 4. I'm very limited just because of college tuition, books, and everything.

I just can't wait till the day I can use Live 4. hehe

I tried to buy Ableton Live 4 online, but apparently it won't let me upgrade from Live Delta.
So I bought ACID PRO 4.0 for $149 new, I wonder how Live 4 and ACID PRO 4 compare. Hmm, i'd love to know. Anyone

But sadly it won't support DirectX or RTAS such as Antares Auto-Tune 4 RTAS & DirectX plugin will it? Or is there such thing as a DirectX to VST convertor?

Can Live 4 completely replace Fruity now? Can you create more realistic tracks? Can you use Soundfonts? If so, that would be awesome! I have a 60 MB Soundfont file, which is bound to break all the windows in my house. heh.

I never knew how awesome Fruity Loops could be for creating loops for Abelton's Live. Anyways, I am having trouble with something. In the playlist it keeps playing as far as it can go. How can I add a bar line or whatever it is, to tell the play list to start at the beginning again ...

Fruity Loops? Is it a package you can buy? If so I may as well buy something like that.. if it isn't free that is ok.
Also about making my own, would you do that with various .wav files? Such as Piano sounds, Drum sounds that I have played and saved as a .wav file?
