Can I change Live's color palette?
Currently compared to FL Studio and Bitwig, selecting track color and clip color requires an extensive artistic knowledge. In other DAW, most combinations works because they have similar saturation/brightness. I want to change Live's palette to be more usable, or even, with less wrong choices.

How to snap automation to grid
I have used Live for 1 year but everytime, say, if I want to automate like activate "EQ Eight" at some point, the graph would looked like a step.
I have to highlight small area so it align to grid -> pull the segment up now you have pulse wave-like graph -> then you delete one of the two point it ...

Re: 9.2 Feels like a complete 9.. what would even be next?
I just wanted a clip coloring set that does not give me eye cancer like it currently is. Look at FL Studio and Bitwig! Those thing are beautiful and no matter what color you choose for your clip/track it still looked nice.

I have look it up, so I should try automating the "channel delay" to play with Haas Effect right? Next time I would definitely try that!

In professional track, how come the stereo felt so good?
For example like this song

It seemed the drum and some synth is dancing in the stereo field! Did they deliberately put panning automation so some component sounded spilling left and right?

Asking those using 11" Macbook Air with Live..
I planned to buy mac laptop after hearing yesterday's release keynote. I'm currently deciding between 11" MBA and 13" MBP Retina which both receive 5th gen Intel CPU update.
Of course in an instant I ask anyone with the word "make music" they would say go for MBP very quickly. But I absolutely love ...

Re: Which piece of studio equipment gets on your nerves the most
QuNeo!! It sucks so bad that it is unbelievable for its price tag.
I'm sold by the idea of pad controller which can do so much. Also came with faders that can function as motorized fader too so I bought one.
Then my dream shattered when I actually using it. It is way too filmsy! The thinness that ...

Re: >>WHO's TUTORIALS YOU PREFFER TO WATCH ??
AK's tutorials are pure hidden gem! He constantly showing result as he explain as opposed from Dubspot, pointblank self-promoting videos where they talk most of the time (and promote their face/name more than teaching us oh god). And he got great tips all over his channel check it out! It is ...

Just saying of all portable keys I think iRig Keys or whatever it called feel shittiest of all cheap portable keyboard. Plastic quality is close to children's toys. Feels very 'milky' when touched.

Re: Never produced on a laptop. Mac or Windows?
Hey I think it is not a good idea to buy any laptop now. Intel will refresh its processor to "Gen 5" soon. This means all i3 i5 i7 will get battery improvement and stuff. Not to mention the new core m that is new to the party.
I personally think this refresh is possible to make new laptop match its ...

Needed advice to train my ear for subtle changes.
I have a big issue here. 80% of people says Glue Compressor is good, but I can never detect difference between Glue and normal Compressor! (asides from GUI stuff like you cannot set knee in Glue etc.)
Another example is when I was told to add a bit of Dynamic Tube to my kick drum. Yeah when solo ...

Hey! Thanks everyone! I have read all your comments. I guess when Ozone trial runs out after 10 days I will try to build my own mastering chain on my next project..
Resonator and Corpus stuff.. I have never touched that because an instant I load up that it sounds like shit. I don't know how people ...

I have Ableton Suite but now I heard iZotope Ozone/Alloy...
So I have purchased Suite which came with many audio effects. But then iZotope's plugins are very popular. When I try out the trial I see many if not all function can be build by using Ableton's audio effects.

Cannot find Ableton's CC message list anywhere on the net
I bought a midi controller with customisable CC knobs. That knob cannot send MIDI message so I cannot learn it in Ableton. I try to find out which CC is what in Ableton but to my surprise Google cannot get me what I want.
I even looked in Ableton's official manual and expecting to find some kind of ...

Please convince me to use the knobs and faders on controller
As far as I have tried, I think the knobs and faders that came with controllers are very impractical when composing music.
When composing the main issue of knobs and fader is that, you must constantly assign it to something you are adjusting. And on the assignment the value would jump around to ...
