Hey people, I am using live 9 with a 2012 mac book pro and a m audio fast track pro. The problem I'm having is when i try to use a hardware synth as an external instrument in live i get a humming noise! it works fine if i use traditional midi cables and run it as an external instrument but if i use ...

Minibrute to input channel 1 with midi in and out as well to the fast track, microkorg to input channel 2, and that's it. Just going out to the speakers from there. Sometimes I just run the Korg right into the brute and use the 2nd input for vinyl turntables .

At the moment there is an arturia minibrute and a microkorg xl plugged in to it as well as a set of Roland monitors coming out of the unbalanced RCA output. The minibrute is connected midi as well.

Ok so I bought a pair of jbl 15 g2's used and they work fine when just used for keyboards, guitars,mics, etc. but if I try and run the speaker directly from my fast track pro USB interface I get a too much feedback. I wasn't running it to a mixer first just fast track straight to the jbls with 1/4 ...

It was the power supply if anyone cared to know. It's up and running now with a spare power supply I found at my house!

I can't update the firmware because when I plug in my minibrute it doesn't show up as "connected". So I'm stuck. Arturia's customer service is pretty bad as well:(

This is random but has any one ran into the problem of the -1 &+1 led lights flashing and no sound or function at all on your minibrute. If so please help arturia takes forever to reply on their site.

Just ordered the akg 240 for only $80, if they don't work out I'll try the ath m50

Was lookin at the akg 240, I wanted some semi or fully open phones. Are the lows realistic, ive heard thy translate to speakers well?

The sennys are a lil out of my price range though. Thanks guys I think for now I'll go with the akgs and maybe step it up once I get a headphone amp!

Hey, anyone reccomendations some good mixing headphones to use with my fast track pro without a hp amp?

Cool thanks for the replys, I'll steer clear from the ideapad, anyone rockin the t series out there. Or to go offf topic what about adk or the other audio pc company's.

Thinkpad line is definately better than Ideapad, ive owned both. Ideapads are a lesser quality consumer model. The extra money for the w530 is also worth it, best machine ive ever owned
