Mixdown and high frequencies

Hello

I was wondering if anyone can add any insight into an issue i'm having with mixing down tracks, predominantly i'm making house / progressive. When I first started out everything was really muddy and cluttered and the bass was overwhelming. I've got that under control (or far better than it ...

Upgrade to standard

Hi all

Just bought and downloaded the upgrade to live standard from intro and it isn't as simple as I hoped - I thought it might just overwrite what I had already.

Ableton standard doesn't see any of my plug ins or samples etc?

Also I downloaded the packs you get with live and they are ...

Re: Saving Samples

Cheers for the replies! I did think that exporting the whole project wasn't a very clever way of making samples!

Little bit confused about the alternative but that's cos I'm not on Ableton at the minute. I'll suss it out tonight!

Thanks again!

Re: Saving Samples

Do I need to record it into arrangement view then highlight it and export the recorded audio? Then Save it somewhere where I can grab it as an audio sample in another project?

Or is there a better way I'm not thinking of?

Saving Samples

Hi all,

Quick question. So I'm using a vocoder plug in on an audio channel with an audio speech clip. Then I have a midi clip set up with a note which then routes to the vocoder in the audio channel. Then when launched together the audio clip plays out with the vocoder effect.

This is all in ...

Re: Creating an album

Thanks for the replies. Yep basically a dj performance but that i can piece together without having to play the whole album through at once on Traktor. So in the end its a dj set but that i can add a few embellishments to as i go. Nice one, on the right track then. Just wanted to make sure there ...

So purely for the fun of it I want to make an album. I've made a bunch of house tunes as separate projects that are exported to WAV and I currently mix together using Traktor DJ.

What I want to do is make an album with them using Ableton that can go on CD's ...

An arrangement from arrangements.....

Probably an obvious question to you guys but I just want to check something if possible.

I’ve made a few tracks using Live 9, Sylenth & samples. I have literally just got into this so naturally they improve with each one that I have done as I am learning. So I’ve got to the mixdown stage on each ...

Question about Sampler and Samples.

Hi Everyone,

Pretty new to this so bear with me. I'm running Ableton 9 Intro while I get a bit more used to it. I've used Ableton in the past but this is the first time I've had it for myself. Anyway for this question I'm want to make backing tracks for my guitar so simple, clean; drums, guitars ...
