Recently I was working on a project in Live that had been crashing quite often. Eventually, when trying to open it again, I received a Live error message stating:
"The file [file name] is corrupt. [Error: Slot Count Mismatch]
Thankfully I have backups. But I've never even heard of the "slot count ...

Delay with interval change on feedback
Hi all,
Relative M4L newbie here; I've been following the Cycling 74 youtube tutorials, which have been incredibly helpful.
I'd like to try making an audio effect on my own, specifically one that matches a production need I've had for some time: Delay where each delayed note drops by a certain ...

Re: Disabling certain CC input?
I tried that, which sort of works - but it makes it basically impossible to undo or redo stuff from my own work because Live is now tracking a pan modulation every .25 seconds. Sometimes that will also force Live to forcibly select the track the modulations are coming from, though I'm not sure why ...

Disabling certain CC input?
I recently purchased a used 49slmkii, great keyboard and all that, but it's started sending a flurry of twitchy pitch bend and mod wheel modulation to whatever track I have active. I assume there's something wrong with the ribbon cables for the pitch bend joystick as it will sometimes stop after I ...

Patch to detect notes / modulate pitch?
Hey all,
I'm looking for either a particular kind of MFL patch or advice on how to start building one. I'd like something that could detect a set number of midi notes in an active clip - say, 16 - and then allow the user to modulate the pitch of each note by a predetermined amount - ie, 1 semitone ...

Converting a certain Max patch into M4L
Hi all,
New M4L/Max user here. I came across a cool tutorial on youtube for making a Karplus-Strong instrument in Max. The creator provided a Max patch, which I've opened and messed around with, but I want to see if I can get it running in Max For Live as well. Right now all I know is that the ...

Are there any Max for Live patches (paid or free, doesn't matter) that are good for this? Have had some trouble finding any.I played notes with an arpeggiator that is not synced to song time but where I control its rate with a slider.
Thanks!

Re: Monolake/Henke, where to begin ?
Here's my personal and decidedly non-eloquent view of his albums; obviously YMMV.

Step Sequencer J74 / General Launchpad question
Hey all,
New Max For Live user and relatively new Launchpad user here. I recently purchased the J74 Step Sequencer 64 and have been enjoying it so far. However, I wanted to make some basic changes to the setup: The Launchpad in the User 1 mapping currently controls on/off for notes in the sequencer ...
