How to reduce sample rate in sampler?
I have a long sample containing a span of notes that I am referencing in sampler. I recorded this at 192 kHz and made a sampler instrument out of it. I would like to reduce the referenced sample down to 44.1 kHz.
When I swap out the sample, it appears that all of my markers are off by about a ...

Re: Saving clips to user library is confusing
I'm thinking maybe the reason Live might want to keep all of the samples in one place while the library folders only contains references is probably for efficiency reasons. I imagine that system is very efficient for a computer processor to simultaneously playback sound clips that way, as opposed to ...

Saving clips to user library is confusing
I'm trying to figure out a system to store my own sound clips into ableton to make my own basic sound library. I am finding there are many nuances and it's not so straight forward.
If I record a long guitar take and want to break it up into clips to save into a sound catalog it appears to do ...

Re: Ableton referencing files in trash bin on my mac?
Stromkraft that is correct I might have been a little unclear originally but yes, basically I used a sample and then deleted that samples original location. Since I deleted it via the ableton browser it knew to change the referenced location to the trash where all deleted things go. It did not start ...

Ableton referencing files in trash bin on my mac?
I emptied my trash on my computer the other day and when I opened up a project I was working on, one of the audio files of a one shot I was using in a drum rack could not be found. Seeing where this sample was located, it appeared that Ableton was referencing it from a folder in my trash can that I ...

Audio quality cutting out on recordings
Hi guys, I have been using ableton to record my electric guitar over some beats that I made and the audio quality is just absolutely horrible when I play it back! I have tried everything that I can think of and have no idea what is going on. It sounds like it is gurgling and cutting out...just ...

Re: Native Instruments Massive-Creating Presets with Attributes
Ok so now that I have found out how to put a custom preset in the user folder and link attributes to it, it looks like if i delete a file it stays gray forever until you rebuild the database again?...this browser is ridiculous lol...it definitely has its quirks to figure out...

Re: Native Instruments Massive-Creating Presets with Attributes
ah just figured it out somewhat, I need to save to the "sounds" folder to get it to show up under the "my massive" folder...not the most intuitive setup but ok. Still can't add a bank or whatever so this seems annoying that they make you select a pre made bank which doesn't necessarily relate to ...

Native Instruments Massive-Creating Presets with Attributes
Just learning Massive here and I seem to be having trouble tagging attributes to sounds I have created and saving them as presets. The tutorial leads me to believe that you just select the attributes and hit save and you will be able to find them in the future...not the case here. They don't show up ...

NI Komplete Samples
I just installed NI Komplete 9 and I have what is probably a pretty stupid question but I have never used anything NI before so I am totally new.

Re: Multiple hard drive setup to improve speed
Hahaha yes clydesdale you are correct! I am certainly overoptimizing without the real need to, I was curious if I was interpretting that one part of the article correctly since I do record a fair bit in ableton.
