Re: Using B-Keeper in Live
It sounds like you changed some of the settings on that panel. If you set response to say 0.7, the other dials all move, keep them that way. If you post settings I can suggest. But they save with a live set. If you download from GitHub you could check the original settings. You may have a latency is...

Re: BEETSEEKER - AUTOMATE SWITCHOVER
yeah, the button is midi mappable so I think there is a way. in the automation lane in arrangement, you should see Beatseeker, and beatseeker button as one of the automatable parameters. try writing in a change so it starts low and goes high. make sure the orange arrow is not lit up. I must admit, t...

Re: VIDEO PROJECTION - BEATSEEKER
if the video is warped, yes. I used to do this with Michael Jackson as demo for kids. Video is similar in media to audio, having warp markers and the like. So you may want to create a "sound track" for the video that is "click click click" etc. That gives the autowarper an easy job. or maybe there i...

Re: Anyone using Beatseeker? ... Advice needed on mic placement
I suggest that you increase the gain on the mic. In terms of mic placement, try the wurst position where it is close to kick and snare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__Bh3D_Pvt8&t=40 From what you say, it sounds like it's not getting the right signal. Do the three lines of the speaker icon light u...

Re: B-Keeper live drummer tempo sync for Live
The BeatSeeker plugin has effectively updated the B-Keeper design in many ways. It only requires a single mic input and processes this to get drum hit events. It listens to the audio to suggest a tempo prior to starting. It's more responsive and reliable with a simpler setup. And 64 bit. https://www...

Re: Beatseeker M4L device - please help regarding setup.
hi. Regarding the midi mapping. That should work. Try midi mapping a keyboard, or try mapping your drum controller to other devices. Is that working okay? Also, maybe Im doing something wrong cause Ive only played with it for less than an hour but is the BS generally trying to stay within a narrow t...

Re: ADVANCE TAP TEMPO: LIVE TO FOLLOW LIVE DRUMMER
Having said all that, I'm very keen to try Beatseeker as drumming to a click isn't always perfect ... I've just downloaded it but haven't tried it yet ... anyone out there using it and if so, how do you set it up in your track and also, how do you mic the snare drum and send that signal to Ableton ...

Re: Beatseeker M4L device - please help regarding setup.
I want to be able to start a track using Ableton's metronome to set the tempo (which currently sends a click to our drummer), and then soon after the track starts, switch over to Beatseeker and let the drummer take over. Just a quick note on this point. The standard Play and Tap Tempo buttons still...

Re: B-Keeper live drummer tempo sync for Live
hi I've just gone through things and ensured that there are Java classes and the bonk~ windows external (bonk~.mxe) for B-Keeper to work correctly on Windows. I've made a setup video for this: http://youtu.be/OQF8KVgtcq4 and you would download now at www.github.com/venetian/b-keeper there are instal...

Re: ADVANCE TAP TEMPO: LIVE TO FOLLOW LIVE DRUMMER
B-Keeper is a good option If you want to try something new, check out BeatSeeker. www.github.com/venetian/beatseeker I've put both B-Keeper and BeatSeeker on Github. They are "third party beat detector things", but then I'm not sure of a way round that for the time being. I have however made set up ...

Re: Setting Abletons tempo from live drummer
So B-Keeper can work fine with MIDI too.
www.b-keeper.org/software/B-KeeperMIDIproject.zip
is a version for Roland MIDI kit. You can change to suit other drums by changing MIDI notes.

Re: B-keeper paramaters/settings explained more in detail
andrew.robertson@eecs.qmul.ac.uk - programmer It probably is a latency issue. If you want exact sync - try sending a click sound out (eg Ableton's own click that can be routed out say soundcard output 3). On another channel, bring that in, put through B-Keeper Click device (this is different), and t...

Re: B-Keeper max for live project
Yes, it looks for events on the main beats of the bar - one, two, three and four, adapting the window size to suit the playing style that's being observed. Hopefully with a good balance between response and stability!
thanks for the video link. Looks cool.
