Selecting presets in Ableton synths is why I don't use them (drag & drop is super inconvenient). Any other way?
I guess the ableton synths and effects are actually quite good but the presets organisation is sooo bad that I never use them. Dragging and dropping presets into the plugin and waiting until it loads is very inconvenient and destroys my creative workflow. Why not have a proper preset dropdown and a ...

Automation differences: host automation <-> midi learn
Hi, I am always confused by the different controller assignment strategies and when to use what in combination with automation recording. Afaik, there are 3 ways:
1. Using midi learn in a plug-in
2. Enabling host automation and then assigning controllers via Ableton -> configure
3. Predefined ...

Problems with deleting automation breakpoints (mouse)
Hi, this drives me nuts. With the trackpad on my Macbook Pro 2017 I have no problems clicking automation breakpoints to delete them. But when using my magic mouse (which I mostly do in the studio) I can't delete the breakpoints anymore (using the same setup, same computer etc.). It works 1 out of 10 ...

Teenage engineering OP-1 recording controller data
Hi, I try to record OP-1 controller modulations in ableton. The scenario is: I recorded a midi track that plays the OP-1 as a sound module. Now I perform filter modulations and would like to record those as automation data in ableton. How do I do that? If I switch the OP-1 mode to CTRL then it doesn ...

Workflow question: how do you save cool loops directly from
Ola,
I usually work in the arrangement window. Often I collect more samples and loops that I ultimately use in my tracks. Hence, at the end I often delete snippets from the arrangement. However, I would like to save them for future projects. What is the quickest way to do that?

Thanks Stromkraft, good tip.
However, this way you copy the original loop but not the loop/ sound you were creating in the arrangement. I am looking for a way to quickly export loops/ sounds you created in your arrangement...

Fastest way to export audio from arranger to folder?
Hi
Say I cut up a loop and consolidated it in my arrangement view. Then, when I drag it into a folder in ableton's browser window, ableton creates a folder and an alc file but I only want that audio sample saved as a wav sample. The reason is that it is much quicker to access samples than alc files ...

Are there any news on this issue? I have the same problem.
Live 9.1.5
Gigabyte P55B-UD3
i5 [email protected]
8GB Ram
SSD drive
Win 8.1 64bit
The CPU load jumps to 30-50% and causes almost constant crackles. Very annoying. I don't use any audioclips in this project. Just midi and some plug-ins.
Thanks.

Autostart clips after starting ableton
Hi, can I launch individual clips automatically after Ableton starts? It's for an installation and we want to set it up so that if the system crashes it restarts, autostarts ableton and then the project should autostart specific clips.
Thanks a lot.
Thanks a lot.

View jumps to activated clip but it should stay
Hi guys,
In the session view, the view automatically follows the clip that is triggered but I want it to stay on the task I am working on.
For example, I am tweaking an eq setting on channel 2 and a clip is triggered externally (via OSC -> Max -> Live) in channel 4. Now the view automatically ...
