Laurentius,

you on a Mac or PC ? .... if you are on a Mac or have access to one, Apple has a thing called Apple Loops Utility. Pretty much works like Recycle although not quite as fancy ... Battery 3 reads and plays apple loops quite well on both Mac and PC.


The only draw back I've found with ALU ...

sounds like your mix was phase canceling the mids out ...

If he had you plugged into the DI box and it summed the L & R channels together!! That was most likley the problem

Higher Resolution recording of CC data

it would be great to have Live record CC data with higher resolution.
For those that use plugs like DFH superior or BFD they often use a HH control pedal to perform the open and closed hihats sending CC4 data.

as it stands now, it looks like Live averages this data so, on play back the CC4 info ...

Hi Alex !

does this happen for you also with a previous version of Live?

I just checked an it does happen in 5.03 as well ..not sure why I never heard it before but in my first test of 5.2b3 it was the first thing I heard ...



Can you provide me a small Live set that demonstrates this issue ...

Double Notes at Re-start of MIDI clips

Re-starting of MIDI clips from the transport causes a double note or flam at the start of the clips ....

This is MAC beta 5.2b3

Will check the PC shortly

there's only a few MIDI drum controllers that will do what you wish for John.
Check out the drumKAT

Check out the 3.8 and the Turbo .....

I do alot of triggering of note and chord sequences from this box using the alternate function. you can easily program your note ...

Are you recording MIDI to Live and playing it back to the DM5 ???

If so you maybe playing more notes than the DM5 can handle ...
I think it's total polyphony is only 32 voices ...

There seems to be a small bug when auditoning clips from their scrub area in 5.03b5. if you click inside a clip to audtion from say bar 2 to end, the clip will now always start from this point. I'm suprised no body has mentioned MTS midi time stamping in this thread ...
given the topic ...

The timing asdjustments are huge for me in this new Beta and are working great !! ..but I think what we all really want is MIDI time stamping ...

Just tried Beta 5.0.3b5 ....

It closed the gap of 2.97ms for a track with monitor off/Auto to 0.13 ms ...
Thats pretty amazing !!! ....
