ClyphX Pro has a Bindings add on that allows you to write a text file to create different MIDI Mappings that can be switched between based on triggers such as a clip being luanhced, a MIDI Message being recieved etc.

You'd need to have a MIDI Controller that supports a control surface selection in Live, that'\s how they are controlled.

MIDI Mapping is direct and not dynamic so won't move from the target you have mapped it to.

If your MIDI Controller isn't recognised as a control surface you maybe able to write ...

SOunds like an initialisation routine on the device is failing, best to open a support ticket for that.
