Ok. I was one of the people suggesting a discount for long term customers a few versions ago.

Whatever. Sour grapes and all that.

I'm skipping the live 7 round of upgrades. But I might do 8, if the feature set and performance seems to have improved significantly.

So a quick rundown of the expected features and performance gains will be appreciated.

Actually the last upgrade I did was to get intel native support. Otherwise, Live is still a nice loops arranger, as it has always been, and still not a editor or recorder as much as I'd like to see it become.

So instead of an ableton upgrade, I reinvested in pro tools.

And I'll do it again if it ...

I'm glad I sat out a round of upgrades. I've not been impressed by the lack of long time user upgrade pricing.

Hmm, I wonder why they (digi) are taking so long to get ProTools Working on Leopard?

I mean with rewire support. Because then you could just use Live as a plug-in for beats and...

I think so.

You can zoom into the waveform view and adjust the beginning and ending points.

Creative is doing nothing dissimilar from many other companies. By making products artificially obsolete, you have to buy another to keep playing. Sound familiar?

Perhaps this Dave K fellow could get working on drivers for Digidesign products like my trust old 001 which was intentionally hobbled ...

There was a post on the digidesign forum about the current release of pt 7.4cs2 working ok on leopard ( anecdotal evidence) but that the rewire plug-in caused some problems and needed to be removed form the folder.

Not sure what to make of that, but that's the info I have.

Really, rather than raise a red flag you should be aware that that particular "bug" relates to volumes that are mounted as samba partitions.

Not an everyday, or even a likely occurrence for most mac users.

I feel a bit vilified that the cycling '74 partnership seems to have panned out for this release. I'm sure that eventually some cool things will come of it.

For me however, I got tired of waiting for Live to mature DAW-wise.

I like the FX model pack for the pod xt that has a bunch of weird synth effects.
