Nevermind, I deleted the /User/Library/Preferences/Ableton folder and reinstalled the whole thing. It's working now. :)

Live crashes on startup.

Everything was working until I was low on ram and did a Force Quit on it, (also on Reason that was working through ReWire). And every time I try to open it, it hangs on the "Live unexpectedly quit while you were working..." screen and then crashes.
I've tried reinstalling, clearing the library and ...

I use Peak pro at work and own Wave Editor and hate them both.

Audition was my first love...nothing can compare.
True, true.
I'm working around with the Soundbooth trial atm and it seems a bit odd, but the tasks and effects are already familiar to me (since I've been using Audition), so I'm ...

if not audacity then adobe audition/soundbooth is a fine choice. You don't really need anything else. I ususally record what i needc into audition and mangle with the sample on live.
Audition is not supported in OSX. ;)

Mastering.
Indeed.
When I'm all done in Live, the track still feels a bit cold, so that's why. Plus when playing around with vinyls, Audition has great filters to remove static noise.

Audio Editing Software?

I've gotten so used with Windows based Adobe Audition and I feel Ableton feels kind of limited at times when recording audio or playing around with certain filters. So my question: are there any programs similar to Audition for OSX?
PS. Don't offer Audacity.

Tried it before, didn't help.
Tomorrow I'm going to try if I get any audio from the mixer itself, using the earphones.

The "warmth" totally depends on what sound card you're using.

Listening vinyls through an USB mixer.

This may be a bit irrelevant here, but I'm asking nevertheless.
Anyways, I just bought a Numark TT1610 turntable and a Numark DM950 USB mixer but the problem is that I just can't figure out how to get the audio from the mixer to my MacBook.
What I did:
1. Hooked up the turntable to a mixer's PHONO ...

Reason effects through ReWire.

I understand on how to send MIDI signals and samples into Ableton Live. But is there a way to use the Reason's effects (Digital Vocoder, Scream 4 Distortion etc.) in Live's racks? Or just master rack?

Resampling a sample?

Hello, I recently got myself a MacBook and I'm quite new to everything, including Ableton Live I got with it. On XP I used FL6, Reason and Adobe Audition for production. In FruityLoops and Reason, there was a way to slice a sample into segments, so I could play each part of the sample on a MIDI ...
