Same thing happened to me in Live 10. Why is this even a thing? Who would think that a feature removing the menu bar would be helpful?

Okay, I'll give that a try.
I've been using reaper for years now and switching to ableton has been
very frustrating. It feels like every time I have a question and just try to google it
I end up in one of three places:

a. A 10-20 minute youtube video that could probably be summed up in a 2 minutes ...

Scratch that, it's not just removing regions where there's silence it's also clipped or trimmed out entire regions
with audio too...???

I just got them to load in ableton after giving the tracks a few minutes to just chill
with the wav files and now they play.
The only problem is somehow ableton deleted any regions of silence in the wav files so I have no idea where to
arrange them so they play at the correct places.

So I opened a new session in ableton and created some audio tracks. The session only has
5 audio tracks and a master track.
I tried to drag and drop a wav file onto the audio track in the arrangement view and the file shows up
but there are no visible wave forms and it doesn't play any sound ...

Is there a way to map a MIDI note to select the next track in a set?
I have a foot controller and want to tap one of the switches to select the next
track.
Right now I can see that I can map a MIDI note from my foot switch to select a specific
track. In the MIDI map it looks like:

I must know, how do I resize MIDI items in Ableton?
Just dragging the edge does this weird thing where it like.. clones the initial MIDI
item or something. This happens in reaper too but in reaper you have to click alt+click and drag
to resize the MIDI item without ...

NM I guess Serum was no longer armed after adding the drum rack. Now the issue seems to be that I can only arm serum or the drum rack... not both … I feel like reaper was never this complicated

So I'm new to Ableton. I have a project started and so far all it has is 2 MIDI tracks and an Audio Track.
I have some MIDI notes in the first MIDI track and Serum in the Audio track. MID 1 is routed to Serum in Audio 1.
It plays fine until I drop one of the drum racks into the 2nd MIDI track ...

In Reaper I could draw a MIDI note in the MIDI editor and once I click
