I lived with a Brazilian for 6 months. He turned me on to some really badass music. Gilberto Gil being one of them. I really like Jorge Ben and Gal Costa too. I think it's interesting how diverse some Brazilian musicians seem. Gilberto Gil to politics; Seu Jorge to acting.

I like to use audio tracks set to monitor and send the audio to them. This is good if I have no need for a variable send. I use it for simplicity and organization.

Uberzone & Rennie Pilgrem have a really sick song called Black Widow that fits your description. Sick breaks with a jamacian sounding dude rapping - increasing in pitch.

I've noticed there is a pretty good reception for hip hop on this board. Was wondering if anyone else had checked out the new N.E.R.D. album, Seeing Sounds. Didn't like much of it the first listen through but now I think it's gold. Potentially as good as Fly or Die. Any other fans of the band on here?
