Wild guess, but how are you saving your projects? Do the .als files all reside in a singular project folder?

Just to add, you can also cut time (ctrl+shift+x), copy time (ctrl+shift+c), paste time (ctrl+shift+v) and duplicate time (ctrl+shift+d)

I believe it's kind of common knowledge that Live ia very inefficient with large sets. It's not a you problem. Maybe limit group nesting and racks, that's all the advice I can offer aside from hitting Ableton to optimize their software.

So I got this bass amp in hopes I coud route it to Ableton for monitoring, but I'd have to set it as an audio device thus losing main soundcard monitoring. Is there a way to route USB input to ableton outside of settings? Of course I can just track trough soundcard, but I was hoping to be able to ...

With all due respect, shouldn't this be your (as in Ableton team) work to go trough the changes and update the manual accordingly? Just how long did it take you to release a PDF version of ...

We might see an update or two, but it's sure being slowly rolled out as the focus currently is on L12.
Such update would only be about fixes though.
Are you experiencing any showstopper bug with L11?


There's a lingering issue of expanded view in EQ8 or Spectrum, not sure how does wavetable fare ...

You should consider that effecting a single chain with different input level will behave differently in the plugin, then summing the audio will also change the overall image.

If you feed all channels into one bus, the sum of the unprocessed levels will again behave differently in the plugin.

Can you group the plugin and save it so it has preserved settings and you just slap the saved group everywhere?

I have the unit and while I don't use it as a control surface, it's pretty nice for my needs and has a wide range of routing capabilities. Can serve as a stand-alone recording interface as well, which I find pretty handy when I just don't want to plug in my pc to record a bassline.

Might be a huge selling point of Live 13

I'll chime in with an old issue from 11.3.. do you by any chance have EQ or spectral analyzer in expanded view? That causes stuttering directly proportional to the height of the expanded view.

Agree so much. The closest you can get to the original design is Live 11, which is where I'm at for the time being despite having bought 12 in pre-sale. Will see how development goes, if they return some of the buttons that are missing now and just polish it enough to keep stable.
