Help - stereo to two mono channels
hello all...
I need some clarification on how to properly setup two mono channels on a mixer to preserve a stereo image of the sound coming out of ableton. I'm running a laptop connected to a MOTU traveler with two 1/4" lines from the main outputs to two mono channels on a mixer. Should the ...

Re: relevant pluggo objects?
excellent! thanks. It'll take some rework to get my old plugins in m4l format but the new dial functionality is much easier to work with than the old pp setup. I had tried the dial earlier but I missed the "modulation mode" menu. As soon as that is selected it appears in ableton's automation menu ...

relevant pluggo objects?
I was wondering if the pluggo parameter objects still function or are even relevant in Max4Live. I am trying to get some old pluggos working in m4l but I haven't been able to get the parameters to show up so that they can be controlled via clip automation. I noticed that m4l devices do not show up ...

live.path live.object live.observer
where can I find more info on these. I found the respective section in the documentation but am having trouble understanding how to get them to respond. Mainly how to set an object. I am simply trying to send the "get get_major_version" message to get live to spit out its version but I am getting a ...

Re: tutorials & doc
hello all...
roughly the same question... many the live. objects in max don't seem to have help patches. (live.remote~, live.param~ etc.) would like to get a better understanding of what these objects do.
thanks

Live 6 - sends on return tracks
I have just recently started using Live 6 (I have been working with Live since Live 4)...
I noticed that the send controls on the return tracks are greyed out. How do I activate them so I can send audio from one return track to another?
I am on a Mac Laptop g4 running os 10.3.9
thanks

Yes live as the rewire master, and Max as the slave. The reason I asked, is that my friend is able to send midi to live from Max in this arrangement on his Mac. We just confirmed this a little while ago. Doesn't work on my PC for some reason. So I guess I'll pose this question again. What gives? Why ...

MIDI rewire problems
I'm running MAX/Msp and ableton, and after selecting rewire for MIDI output in MAX, I can't seem to select Rewire or MAX for MIDI input in Ableton. MAX and Rewire do not appear in the MIDI setup in Preferences. Any suggestions?
