I think I discovered one cause of this - tempo automation anywhere on the project stops the creation of take lane, as far as I can tell. Maybe other forms of automation can break it, too? What have you found?

I would like pitch, Gate and velocity tracks that could sum together to one Midi output, a bit like what Numerology does. Or an ability to send from Midi tracks just the pitch, gate, or velocity to other midi tracks.

1. record one MIDI clip with tempo set at 110BPM.
- Orig. BPM will display as 120BPM
2. Change tempo to 130BPM. Record another Midi Clip
- Orig. BPM will display as 130BPM

3. Change tempo to 60BPM. Record another Midi clip
- adjust Orig. BPM to 80

4. Save Set.
- all clips still show correct BPMs ...

Can you download a beta and try with that? If you get the same issue, create a beta snapshot and email ableton with this. I've replicated the issue in 8.05b5 and have emailed ableton already on this, but didn't get a response from them as yet. I guess you might wait for the next beta to ...

Sorry, it isn't clear here - there wasn't enough room to type full situation, hence the ellipis. The problem exists in 8.0b16.

I will wait for the 16 beta to expire before downloading the latest because I'm worried about being hit by my ISP for downloading huge files all the time.

1. Open new live set.

2.create track with Default Sampler instrument

3. Select as Instant mapping device with blue hand.

4. Scroll through banks

Bank 2 and 3 - nothing
Bank 4 - sparse
Bank 5,6 and 7 - nothing
Bank 8 - Sparse

5. Stay on Bank 8.
6. Switch on P. Env with mouse

I've noticed some parameters that could be adjusted in Operator by Instant mappings in Live 7.0.14 aren't available in 8.0b16. They are as follows:

In Operators A-B-C-D (Banks 1 through 4):

Level<Velocity
Level

In LFO (Bank 5)

LFO Modulation

I'm using a Novation RemoteSL and ...

It takes longer to move my mouse pointer to the corner of the screen than it take to reach the beams and while the beam is thin, it's a lot longer than the close icons, so all in all I find it much easier to use to close and it's consistent with the way many applications work.
