I'm having a similar problem with certain plugins.
Sometimes a MIDI note on the 1st beat of a pattern fires up late but the rest of it plays in time.
It's as if the VST gets the message to "start playing" late.
It's most noticeable on the Novation V-Station with the arpeggiator on, as this waits ...

After years of struggling with an old version of Fruity Loops on a crappy PC, I recently got a new laptop which I figured would be powerful enough to run Live 6.

Just got my new laptop, running Vista*...
First problem was no input (line-in / mic in) being detected by Live on the built-in sound card. Installed ASIO4ALL, seemed to fix it...

I've been experimenting with using GSnap pitch correction VST (availble free here) on some recorded vocals.
I can get it to work in AUTO mode, simply by dropping it onto an audio track as an effect - it then automatically corrects the pitch of the audio on the track.
