what is the maximum seconds we can sample from an existing song? is there a specific rule or does it vary??

if possible, mix&master to a reference.
find a record close to what you're doing sound wise and try to match it sonically. this will help to overcome possible problems caused by your room treatment/untreatment.

oh, got it fixed, reaktor problem again.

was just working on a project, with heavy use of plug-ins, layers of tracks, saved then i cannot re-open. it's freaking me out, i can open other tracks but not this one. the only difference is i turned on and off the firewire, but don't think it's got anythig to do with.

i had bunch of mp3 files all analyzed. but then i moved those mp3's into other folder (over three separate folders) then i copied .asd files into those three of them.
but then i dragged the mp3's in Live, it would analyze the mp3's again.
does it mean i have to analyze the mp3's all over again ...
