When i open massive it seems to go to a midi track on its own.I could swear it was on auto.Ableton or massive manual?

Live 7 & NI Massive

I just bought massive and installed it,Ableton shows it in my plug in's and it plays.The problem i'm having is when after i try to record no sound is played back after i stop recording and try to listen to the recording.I'm a newb when it comes to using or setting up a soft synth,any suggestions ...

one thing to consider is if you use VST then you may be able to load the set on a PC as well (with the plug-ins on there of course) but if you use AU you wont
So there is no advantage running au on a mac and if i use vst i can transfer my sets cross platform which is a great advantage. I wasnt ...

AU OR VST

For mac os x is it better to run au or vst ? I've been finding alot of plug in's that seem to be great except they only are in vst format not au.I currently have a few synth's that i'm running as au,any help would be appreciated! :)

You need an audio-midi-interface and connect the mc-808 and your laptop per jack cables (for sound) and midi (for sync). No problemo except maybe with the syncing. To me this is always voodoo :D
