Ever since I updated to the new 1.10 MPD24 OS, none of the knobs control drum macros in live (with the instant mapping feature). Sliders are still mapped to the first six tracks.

Tried restoring factory presets, but that didn't work either.

Anyone have 1.10 and Live 7.09 playing nice together?

So lately I've been getting the message "Failed to load audio unit "." " upon trying to start Ableton and then it crashes - never seen this before Live 7.09 - deleting the preferences gets rid of the problem for one or two starts, then it happens again.

I currently have all AU and VST plugins moved ...

I know it isnt always feasible, but adjusting the mix to the room for 10 minutes or so is the most important part of playing out. What do bands call them, soundchecks?

I have the same problems when switching presets on softsynths. Happens with either my external firewire soundcard, or onboard audio, with no computer usage, etc. Didnt seem to be a noticeable problem on Live 6.

well, glad I'm not the only one I suppose. Any fixes suggested? Didn't have this problem with Live 6 on my old imac - upgrade computer, upgrade software, performance gets worse :(

It's not only cutting off improvisation, but it makes things hard to follow if I have say 10 different tracks of one ...

yeah, i'm an idiot, but i swear that didn't work yesterday. it is nice to have triggers for hard cuts though.

still havent fixed this :( happens whether using internal sound or the saffire. Happens with both AU and VST softsynths.

My work around has been to make 10 or 20 Midi tracks with each preset that I will need, since I cant switch without a pop. But it makes me sad.

Really no one else has this ...

I have a pretty elaborate live set I am working on, about 50 tracks right now. However, it has gotten to the point where as soon as I open up the set, before even pressing play, my CPU usage is around 40%.

What could possibly be sucking up so many CPU cycles without doing anything?

In Live 7, if I got to map the crossfader to a CC control, Ableton wants three separate midi controls - one for far left, one for center, one for far right - this would be fine if I wanted to use the keyboard to quickly cut back and forth, but I want the whole crossfader to be able to take ...

anyone? anyone? i have a show next weekend, and I've already dumped the old powerbook.

I am running Live 7+Leopard on a core2duo with 4 gb ram and a saffire firewire interface. Since upgrading from Live 6/Panther to Live 7/Leopard I get nasty clicks anytime I switch to a new preset on any of my VSTs. This occurs even if the track is muted, and even if nothing is playing in Live.

totally not acceptable in my mind. took almost 2 weeks to get my educational forms processed, and now waiting on the serial after paying with paypal.

If small rinky dink shareware companies can send out serials automatically upon payment through paypal, ableton surely can.
