i think this is your problem (drove me crazy for a bit)

bump up the number of the output you expect to use by two... meaning if you are trying to send to the #1 physical out, address #3 in live...

i have to agree with drb and a few other here. the "live" part of live that is missing for me is a way to easily get from one song to the next, as seamlessly as possible. yes, there are workarounds, and i have used them all to varying degrees of success. it's a royal PITA to dump everything down to ...

well, keep in mind this little tool works both ways - receiving info from the evo (recording knob tweaks, etc) as well as sending to the evo from the host. really neat way to touch/see all settings on the evo at once. it's a weird little machine, and even just using this plug to understand the innar...

two things i have to offer/suggest. first, get a copy of midipipe or midimonitor, just to make sure you are even getting anything from the evolver, to rule that out. second, and i admit i'm a bit fuzzy on this, but i think the evolver sends/receives sysex rather than midiCC info. i had been looking ...

Re: Mackie ONYX..?

I'm in the market for a mixer that has FW I/O. Any one have any experience with these bad boys? How reliable is the connectivity between desk and computer? I'm familiar with the sound of mackie desks, and i'm not looking for midi control from the pots.. i've had one for about a year now, picked it ...

the first reply looks good, with one caveat... you do not want LOCAL OFF on the hardware if you are recording knob tweaks from them, but you need to make sure the comp/DAW is set to hear and record them, but NOT pass that back out (midi feedback can be a nightmare, but fun sometimes). if that workar...

Re: zebra 2 - some parameters unable to automation

Zebra 2 has internally assignable XY controllers what he said. the XY stuff in zebra is simply amazing. i have global default mappings for the XY stuff in my abe template mapped to a pair of BCRs. for each specific zebra patch, i do assignments within the patch right in zebra. so much more power th...

when configuring the buttons you use on the BCR, set the mode to TOGGLE OFF. the lights don't seem to work this way, but you get rid of the double-push syndrome.

Just change the button to toggle mode. to clarify - there are two toggle modes on the BCR - ON and OFF. you need to use the OFF setting to get the results as required by the OP. unfortunately, i can't find a way to make the lights stay on using this mode, but this is also true for other controllers...
