I worked with macs since the mac classic and they are great, but I just switched to a desktop PC and I'm not looking back now. You just get so much more bang for the buck with PC, if you can get ur head around Windows XP

I really hope they are working on update.. Isn't it time for ableton 8 now? Look in the announcements, the last update before the release of the next version is around september and its october now... Ableton has always released another update every year..

Hi got a macbook at home running Live and I want to get a PC for my studio with Live as well. Live is supposed to be true cross platfrom, does anybody know if you could:

1. Copy my Ableton Library from my Macbook to a PC. Install Live on the pc and use my "old" mac library with all my rack/sampler ...

-Like the capability to convert Akai format Cdr's i'd like the same for Emulator formats and others and not only to convert the whole Cd but selected folders and patches.
-Batch conversion for EXS and Kontakt format instruments. At the moment it's only possible to drag and drop ...

What happened to the collaboration with Max/Pluggo stuff and Live? Is this something taking off in Live 8? Here's an idea:

It would be great if they added a lot more fx modules to Live (with pluggo), extended the macros to 16 or more knobs, and gave people the option of doing their "own" Macro ...

We still need a few things for sampler:

1. Automation for the Loop parameters (to make a macro for slicing "audio to midi track") Sampler got the forward/reverse loop you need for Recycle type stretch. If we can automate this, there's no need for recycle anymore IMO.

2. Sampler "round robin". Just ...

A step sequencer with midi groove would be great. Just perfect for drums.

MIDI

ROUND ROBIN. Just being able to cycle through samples with sampler. Great for percussions etc. I know you can do it now, but it invloves an LFO and midi clock and its not as easy as just selecting "round robin"

1. GROOVE / SWING Quantize for Live. Make your own templates from audio (warp points?) or import MPC grooves to use on your midi tracks. Would make it so much better!

2. MIDI TOOLS Some really basic midi commands ...

When can we get groove templates for drum racks.... Drum racks rocks, but this would just make it so much better..

Would be great with an easy randomizer as well for volume/groove amount etc....
