I've read that it is best to sync midi to hardware rather than to Live.
I want to sync Live 5, and my access virus classic to my electribe EMX-1 so that when I use the EMX1 to programme drums, I ...

I am an idiot
sorry - I must be losing the plot. I could have sworn that I had managed to open mini-host inside Live - but you are quite right - I hadn't.
What I had done was open it at the same time. Because both Live and minihost were making sounds I thought I had cracked it. The problem is that although I ...

Using Rekon Audio Access Virus VST Controller with Live
Hi
I notice that on the Rekon website, it says that their Virus controller isn't fully functional with Ableton Live 4 although I think some people do find it OK?

Alltunes was recommended in the Telegraph last weekend and it looks much better than i-tunes. Has anyone tried it? I have had a go but the site seems to freeze when you try to pay!

Is the soundcard used in rendering?
Probably a daft question, but I don't know the answer
Does it make any difference if I use my laptop's soundcard or my m-audio audiophile external for rendering? Or is it all done by the PC?
