I use Live for DJing (as well as everything else). i record my sets, and then go back thru, track by track, to create a playlist. Is there an easy way to export the list of audio files (in my case full tracks), to create a playlist?

I realized I can create individual audio tracks and route the audio from each instrument to the audio track. This works better for my purposes, because it keeps all the drum MIDI on one track. Easy to program.

I've got a drum rack in a track. When I export audio -> render all tracks, the drum rack is exported as one track. How can I break them out so I get each instrument rendered?

I have two monitors. It does me no good with Ableton. Please please please let me undock panels and move them to my other monitor!

Are you looking for interesting ways to do it, or just "how to"? It's pretty straight forward - drop the pella on an audio track, sync it up till it sounds right... Only hard part is usually you need to ride the whole thing, making sure transients are on beat.

Haha, well put. However Ableton is a sampler. Not my point. I'm looking at a product like Kontakt or Sampletank and thought I'd look closer to home first. Was hoping Sampler could meet my needs for general sounds.

I couldn't find it anywhere... What does sampler come with? OR is is just the app and you have to put sounds in it.

I've noticed while crossfading that the volume of both tunes is quieter when im in the middle. How can I fix the volume (and the slopes for that matter) of the Ableton crossfader? Thx.

Didn't live used to support setting the range of a MIDI knob? For example, assigning a knob to the volume of a track, and having the full range of the knob only go down to -12db and up to 1db within live.Or do I really have to set this in MIDI translator?

When using Ableton to DJ, I'm often previewing a track in the browser on the left. Is there a way to scrub thru the track without dragging it into a scene? Half the time the intro is useless to tell if it's the right track. Makes sense to me that you should be able to scrub thru the preview count ...
