Is there still no option for this? It would speed up my workflow like crazy if i could turn that midi editor preview permanently.

I am now trying to create a fresh "default project" which is proving difficult because i cant delete my current channels and instruments without ableton crashing every time.

My 8.1.4 is crashing constantly as well... At first i thought it was a plugin that i was using but it seems to continue even when i've un-installed it.

I am having huge problems even loading up projects that have been exclusively been done in 8.1.4... In other words if i close down the project ...

What i miss the most about Cubase 5 is being able to have a loop of a VST synth (in the arrangement window)
and recoding automation inside that loop without overwriting the other automated parameters.

As long as i don't touch the automated parameters they will still be there on the second pass of ...

I sold all my native instruments software. Got tired of waiting for working bug-free versions.

But yes.

The red light goes on after i have started rendering the track. I have no way of making it stay in "arrangement" mode.


For example:

1: i make a track with loads of automation.

2: the track plays really well in the arrangement view and i am ready ...

I have noticed that on some projects automation is ignored when i render a master.

It seems that Ableton 7 jumps in to "session view" (turning on the red light) before it renders the master thus turning all automation off before it renders the audio file.

I've tried everything i can think of to ...
