Some loops appear to only play once (and show a rectangular box that fills up as it is played once. Then it stops.

Others play continuously, showing a circle with a second-hand type symbol showing the loop being played.

MANY HOURS of work on my laptop PC, planning to take all of this to my OSX Pro Tools setup.

On my laptop, I am on Live 4.1 and all loops are in a desktop folder titled "Acid Loops." I saved the laptop work as "Self-contained," figuring I didn't want the hassle of having the Mac be unable to find ...

I spent a considerable amount of time selecting many loops for a song at 100. Loaded the Live song with loops as it slaved to Pro Tools.

THEN I realized the Pro Tools tempo was incorrectly set at 100, instead of 128.

So I changed the Pro Tools tempo, and the Live tempo automatically changed too ...

In loop editor / session view: Can you make global changes to a clip?

So that every other instance of that same clip is simultaneously affected? Might be cool when naming clips too.

I just read an interview with the guys from Garbage, and they were bringing in their ideas for songs each day, and I think they just hooked up USB to their laptops and were able to slave their ideas to the main Pro Tools rig?

Can you copy a scene to another song? I thought I had read LIVE 2 by Dave Hill that this could be done... but don't see this mentioned in either the .pdf, and can’t find anything about it now that I am looking through the Hill book again.

OK, this was a first-time thing for me. I got it now... you have to copy the "sounds" folder as well as the .als file.

Using windows XP and Adobe reader 7.0, I cannot get the Live manual to print out as 8.5 x 11 regular pages... even if I go into the PC's print-setup and tweak/reverse settings. Anyone else had this problem?

I heard there is a VST wrap around that can allow me to use my Pro Tools Waves FX in Live... anyone have details about that?

Anyone found a way to make self-contain actually work when you save a song on a PC (XP) and then open it up on OSX? Mac OSX can't find the samples. I called Guitar Center, and the Live guru there said he has had the same problem, and didn't have a solution.

My transport/curser always returns to zero bars when song is stopped. On a Mac, what is the trick to getting the song to play exactly where you stopped it?
