Re: Mapping Behringer BCR2000 buttons to stop/play in Live 8.2.6

Hi Lampmeister,

Can I ask how you got on with this? Been trying for ages now to get mute/solo buttons working properly – they toggle fine when I use ableton's midi mapping but I really want to set it up on a remote script (so it will work like that when I open Live, without having to map it each ...

Re: User remote scripts – mutes/solos?

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to clear a midimap entirely in one fell swoop? (want to avoid mappings on previous projects overriding my default remote script). Any help on either of these would be much appreciated!!

Cheers

User remote scripts – mutes/solos?

Does anyone have any tips on mapping mute buttons with user remote scripts? I've managed to get everything else working on my BCR2000 – volume knobs, sends etc. but not mute or solo buttons. They seem to be missing from the default configuration file. The alternative was to map them using mackie ...

Re: Ableton Live and BCR2000?

OK, so had a bit of a dabble with Mackie emulation this weekend. Finally got it working – it is indeed a powerful way of working with the BCR but not entirely sure it's what I need. It seems to be mostly useful for controlling one track at a time for controls like sends etc. whereas I'd like the ...

Re: Ableton Live and BCR2000?

Nice one Guff Tong, actually I'm based in London at the mo (set this account up years ago and haven't changed the location!). I do pop back to Frome occasionally though.

Hmm, perhaps I should persist with this Mackie thing then, seeing as so many people rave about it. Something I forgot to mention ...

Re: Ableton Live and BCR2000?

Thanks guys, some really helpful stuff there. I've just tried dabbling with various presets for mackie emulation, and to be honest it's way out of my depth... got it set up on my BCR but not entirely sure where to start with making it work in Ableton. Anyone know of a good tutorial for absolute ...

Ableton Live and BCR2000?

Hi guys,

Hoping someone might be able to help with this one – posted in another forum and didn't get a great response. This seems like the best place to ask!

I've recently been using a Behringer BCR2000 to mix live sets and production sessions with Ableton Live 8. There are just two things I'd ...

VST instruments won't show

I've downloaded a few free VST synths to try out in Live 5.2 - I've installed them by copying the .dll file to my custom plug-in folder and restarted live. They still aren't showing up in my plug-in devices folder. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Amaury, I am using Live 5.2 (universal binary i believe) on a macbook pro 2.2gHz OSX 10.4.10 and a Edirol FA-66 firewire audio interface.

I am shocked at the amount of tracks some people here can use - i literally get to about 5 tracks (3 audio, 2 midi, with a couple of audio effects on each ...

audio dropping out and glitching

I'm using an Edirol FA-66 with a macbook pro (osx 10.4.10)
after about an hour of use, audio suddenly fades out, and then back in again, popping and glitching on the way.... it basically keeps doing this until i unplug the soundcard and then plug it back in again (and restart whatever program i'm ...

Sounds like it could very well be related (The security update that Apple issued a week and a half ago apparently caused some audio problems on Intel-based Macs - makes sense as all the reports here aren't much more than a week ...

same problem here with edirol FA-66 and Live 5.2

At first I thought it was simply because I was using the PPC version of live 5 on my Intel Macbook Pro - since upgrading to 5.2 i haven't seen much improvement

i was worried that it was my FA-66 that was faulty (it's new so that would be a pain in ...
