I was able to reproduce my crashes in the Artillery 2 VST in the 8.0.x installs as well as live 8.1.1. I have now traced it down to the newest version of the artillery VST. I was not able to reproduce it with the older 2.0.6 version of Artillery.

I'm aching to use its new features in my live set!

I keep getting crashes when using the Artillery 2 VST and have been contacting support with a few bug reports with out any help.

To reproduce I simply load the VST and play audio into it. As soon as the tempo is tapped Live crashes...

Is there anyone else reporting this?

yeah I'm having similar issues, but it only seems to happen when I'm running max programs.

one crash when tapping in a tempo. once when selecting a track via midi, once when selecting a cue.

simple basic functions...

i am about to send 7 crash reports from one day, one while in the middle of a tune at my newyears gig.

its so embarrassing at the moment for me and trying to defend it as being new technology is wearing thin..

i have a feeling its related to max and not ableton, since was able to finish my set ...

you understand peoples frustration but don't understand why people are complaining?

if you go through as much trouble to post on their website, I'm pretty sure your emailing them your crash logs.

you make it worse by complaining about complaining..

actually just submitted the bug report.

it is quite obvious to me there are still serious developments happening because of how new the technology is. that is expected but that makes me nervous enough not to use live 8.1.x live..

I'm using 8.1, with a few instances of M4L pinky + some monome apps.

While having one deck playing and scratching on the other deck, I'd get crash after crash.

I'm gonna test out the beta 3 tonight.. if it doesn't help I'm back to Live 8.0.4 or 5. with pinky VSTs

does this mean you can make any device float like a VST ?

I agree with hakan in that pages does a great job to keep things like clip launcher, scene launcher separate and somewhat user configurable.

I'm most interested in having pages of applications or max devices, is that easy to implement? Triggerable preferably by a Midi button. I'm quite new to max ...
