right. it gives you almost unlimited choices of mixers, that true. if you want two separate devices and wider choice ...

I was thinking of getting a Xone 2D for midi control over ableton. Anyone have any experience or opinions on this device?

it is quite good choice i think. lot of different controlers, buttons, faders, rotary, crossfader. you will also get multi i/o soundcard and midi clock. if you don't need ...

do you have sound interface already? i think you need two outs at least if you want to use generic 2-channel mixer.

if you look for ableton dedicated solution and no regular sources (like cd or turntables) i don't think regular non-midi mixer is a good solution. i will rather reccomend good midi ...

i've found that my midi controller can send pitchbend besides cc and notes. is that usable in any way in live? i can't find how. tried to map that to different objects with no success.

button1 - deck A
button2 - deck B
map each button to both title track A and track status display A and
respectively for B
this is neat trick (found it two ...

kp3 can serve midi clock or get it as a slave (it is configurable). i would not trust tempo detection. it is shity on korg devices (kp3, zero4).

Re: Not Necessary

that's nice trick, i'm using it after correct ...

if you plan to use your existing disk as external, get 120 ssd disc. no seek time, no heat, no mechanics, better batery live - that's kind of unique upgrade.
