Yeah one of the big selling points for me is the built in soundcard. I like the idea that when I expand my equipment and say buy a mixer, I can easily integrate the 2D with it.

midi pitchbend
i've found that my midi controller can send pitchbend besides cc and notes. is that usable in any way in live? i can't find how. tried to map that to different objects with no success.

that is my minimalistic basic two knobs & two buttons setup.
knob1 to scene select
that knob will allow to scroll up/down through the scenes

the beauty of ableton is that you dont need soundcards to cue for Djng. Just know you're songs, do some clever warping to mark transitions, and use the graphics to keep track of where you are and when to mix in your tracks. No headphones required.
