Hello
I've just exported a track from Ableton ready for mastering and cranked up the settings to the max (32bit @ 192,000 & no dithering). But the audio file that is rendered is quite different to how it sounds in Live. Weirdly, when I export the track as 32bit @ 96,000 the sound it more like what ...

Re: How does Dr Dre find his samples?
It's very common in the upper echelon's of Hip Hop for the top producers to cherry pick the latest sample finds by dedicated professional crate diggers. So in effect the producer sits down and listens to a bunch of prime finds, if they like one they pay several thousand dollars (depending on how ...

Re: Favourite Max For Live devices
Hello Hamish
I discovered the sbx 2049 via the video on the Ableton main site just this week. Very cool drum machine and I did hit the randomise button... my computer handled it good though. However I prefer just to randomise single hits whilst playing as it suddenly changes the feel but in a ...

Favourite Max For Live devices
I thought I'd start a thread where we can all share our favourite M4L devices. There's so many out there it's hard to work out what's really good and what's really not. Hopefully this thread can become a reference to find some great Live mangling/controlling devices.
So here are two of my faves ...

Re: Is there a way to bounce the stems of each channel?
Could you not just freeze the track which in effect renders the track down into an audio file?

Help with simple bass question
Hello
I've got an Operator patch which is a simple Sine wave set to fixed at 44hz. I'm wanting a nice flat sub sonic sound but when I play the sound back there is a definite trough in the levels. I'm trying to achieve a flat sound - like the one you can get from the Test Tone option within the ...

Double audio
Hello
I have Live 8.1.1 and experiencing some audio bugs. When playing an audio clip and moving markers within it the sample will (at seemingly random times) play beyond the loop for an extra bar and then return to loop normally. Also (at other random times), double copies of audio will play for a ...

Can barely handle 3 tracks
I'm pretty sure Live 6 & 7 weren't as much of a processor / memory hog as Live 8 and it's really frustrating.
For example, I have 3 midi channels with 3 midi instruments on them 'Keys-FM(Tube-Chorus-Reverb)' and trying to play them is nigh on impossible The audio it sputtering, glitching ...

Macbook fan always on
Hey
I have a Macbook (Unibody 13", 4Gb RAM, 2ghz Core Duo processor, 10.6 & Live 8.1)
The fan on my Macbook starts up within minutes of me opening Live. I don't even need to have any devices set up for the Activity Monitor to go to 20% for Live (even if in the background) and by the time I'm ...

Re: What is your process for new music?
Not sure if I understand you correctly, but you would just move the start point of the loop to outside the start of the loop. The audoi will then start from there, play into the loop markers and then loop.
Is this what you meant?

Hello
After seeing the APC40 I've been quite inspired to use my MPD32 to control Live in a similar way as possible.
My first hurdle is assigning the 4 pads (per column) to 4 tracks. I would like to maintain the assignment of the pads to the first 4 tracks (and 4 clips within) yet when I add a new ...

(Basic) Arpeggiator Help Needed
Hello
I need some really simple help to solve a problem which I just can't figure out and it's starting to drive me mad now!
The problem I have is with the Arpeggiator and it seemingly not doing what I want it to do. On a really simple level, when I load up a synth into a midi track ...
