Re: Touring Setup
For clarity — these aren't our first gigs coming up. We just finished the first leg of a North American tour with this setup, which is a variation on a setup we've been using for almost five years now. We're always looking for ways to streamline both the Live Session and our actual physical setup ...

Re: Touring Setup
How on earth did you imagine that this blatant self-promotion would be a good post for the tips & tricks section?
Sorry but this is just bad, you're possibly attracting new people who hope to find some tips and tricks on getting their tour on the road and they get this garbage. Most won't speak ...

Touring Setup
Hi forum.
Jona from the band YACHT here.
I've been using Live for a long while. First in 2004 to experiment using a new piece of recording software for this EP , and since then I've used it for everything from recording albums to performing live to sound design and film and commercial scoring. I ...

Complicated Performance Setups
I'd love to hear and learn about complicated Live setups for live performances, and how it's going for everyone.
We use Live for stereo backing tracks, Analog and AU plugin softsynths played with a USB controller, click track for the drummer, and video. All In Arrange Mode since we're doing video ...

MIDI clip as tempo master in Arrangement View?
I have an arrangement with stereo backing tracks for a set of songs and each stereo track is set as Master to control the tempo. Now I have a MIDI clip I'm sending to an external synth that I'd like to ramp from 20bpm to 135bpm, what's the best way to do this? As of right now I can't just automate ...

Multi-Song Setup Help
Hi, hi,
I have some questions for all y'all out there using Live + a live band. We have 4 tracks of backing tracks for each song, and multiple songs in multiple tempos. Ideally, we don't want to have to keep opening sessions for each song, so I'm trying to figure out the best setup. Right now we ...

I just bought one yesterday and so far I like it a lot. The box itself is heavy and it feels well-made and like it won't break. The buttons are pretty nice too.
I'm having trouble getting the buttons to do what I want with Live 6.0.7, but I haven't gotten too deep into the manual yet. I like to try ...

I don't have the manual and Roland/Edirol's crappy site doesn't have PDFs.
What's the basic idea with direct monitoring? I mean, I've used the interface to monitor vocals/instruments before without latency, but effecting stuff live on-the-fly is a different idea and I'm not sure how to go about it ...

Oh, cool. I'm not sure. Here's the factsheet for my interface:

I'm going to mess around with it right now and see what I can figure out.
Thanks for your help! Can you explain your setup to me?

Interface to use for live performance?
OK, so I want to play arrangements in Live 6 on my MacBook (2GHz, 2GB RAM) and process a microphone input live. Simple stuff, just turing AU plugins off and on, etc.
What's the best way to do this?
I have an Edirol FA-101 and I can't seem to get the microphone to work without latency. I'm playing ...

Using Live for live vocal processing
Does anyone here do this? I've run the latency tutorial/session and I still get unwanted delay on vocals being monitored through Live.
Any tips, tricks, etc.?
Thanks in advance!
