do randoms like you are but put a scale plug (ableton midi device) in front to confine it to whatever key you like
the results can be very pleasing

i think it is possible if the files are the exact same length
that you could warp the first one
make a copy of the asd and rename it as if it was the asd of the second one...

umm i just press record and everything records into the arranger.
render it when youre finished.
or if im recording my turntables i just arm a track and start spinning.
dont really know what youre on about with deleting clips.
if youre doing that in session its not going to affect anything happening ...

you can route all the tracks you want to to track #whatever
but if you have track #whatever set to recieve from ext in then you are overriding the inputs from the other tracks.

youre still not going to get any input on it until you take it off Ext In
Ext In is not routing from within live it is routing in an EXTERNAL INPUT
for instance a guitar or a keyboard that exists outside of your computer in the physical world
but hey dont listen to me, what do i know?

Tom EXT IN means an external output of your soundcard
not a routing from within live
try setting it to No Input

you have it set for audio ext in
this is not the correct setting
set it to the same name as the midi track

after 3 hours i cancelled the download
maybe i will try again later if it is not so busy

lately ive been creating scenes of midi loops
and jamming those into the arranger
then i go in and do some editing to make a more cohesive finished result
