Cool that others have some interest in it too. Is this on the developer's list at all? This kind of functionality really should be a simple thing and something that does not get in the way of anything else. I really would love it if the 'link' function could link pages together though. I am sure it ...

Depends on how much use you make of all the channels. If you like tons of patches that cover all 16 midi channels avalible on both devices then USB is the way to go. Otherwise you might as well make sure they work on different channels and patch them together with midi and save yourself some clutter ...

You see I was thinking of using this feature to build a crate of sorts. I would make a seperate page for each of the tunes that I have processed and added to my playlist. In a contents page I could link them up by genre, label, bpm, etc. Each page would have some art on it so I could recognize songs ...

Unfortunately that will just bring up the products page in the preferences window. But it does show that the $link tag can do more than open up web pages.

Yes, but this only details how to stick in links to the web. I want to link different pages in the manual together. This is done in some of Ableton's lessons, but these files are locked into resource files. However, this means it should be possible somehow. However, I have not found any other lesson ...

Making lessons...

I was wondering if it was possible to use the $Link command to create a link to different pages of the 'lesson'. I want to compile a reference to various things in my set and it would be nice to have a contents page that allows quick access to other parts.

Thanks!

You should be able to get around it if you are willing to use an extra host cabled in through rewire or as a VST. I think you can access more parameters in both Bidule and energyXT and definately with MAX. May be more expensive to both your wallet and your CPU. Not sure exactly how since I ...

The things really are solid so I would risk a second hand model. I have given mine enough grief without any problems. There is a third party editor for the PC at least that makes setting it up far faster availible here:

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah, that Ecler does look tempting... Having some midi controls right on the mixer would be useful. However, it is another price level above and would take up a lot of space in a rack. I guess I may go for the Denon. I should try to demo the stuff first though...

Looking for a mixer...

Currently I am doing all my mixing with a BCR2000. However this is not really perfect. Using knobs for the levels is not that much fun and I think 128 values is not quite enough for good control. A crossfader is nice to have as well.

Anyway, I am looking for a rackmount mixer, preferably one ...

Thanks for the help!

The pitch bend info needs to be added. I did not do that since it was way too slow. it will act a little differently than a CC since the value for it is split over two numbers.

As I mentioned before, this should run way faster if VB or C++ is used. There is some instructions on getting this running on the MIDI-OX site if anyone has one of these things.
