Re: Ableton Live [through Macbook Pro] into on-stage amps.
Couple of things...
One - How big is your buffer? The bigger your buffer, the more latency. However, if your buffer is too small, you will have dropouts and weird fragments.
Two - You can plug Live into whatever speaker/amp/headphones you want. The question is, "How much can those speakers handle ...

Re: Looper live session with foot controller setup
I use a footpedal that sends qwerty instead of midi (you can key map triggers same as midi map). So, my pedal has an button with a qwerty command for undo. I do not know how to do this with midi. With Bome's, you can have midi trigger a qwerty combination, but I don't know how to do it. There's also ...

Re: Looper live session with foot controller setup
To do this to record to clip slots, you must turn monitoring from "auto" to "off". Now the same thing happens - no throughput of the main track, just playback of clips after you record them.

Re: Looper live session with foot controller setup
You can eliminate the need for "record enable" with some simple routing magic. Just bring the live audio into the first track with no looper. This track will serve as the main track where your instrument's live sound is directly routed to the master track (or send or whatever)

It's a bit pricy, but I'm very pleased with my xtempo POK. I needed something small, and this one was the smallest WITH the most features.
Check it out: http://xtempozone.com
If you have any questions about it, PM me. This is one of my favorite pieces of gear!

Re: Mounted my Launchpad to a mic stand (pictures!)
The stand for the APC40 is a standard issue tripod music stand (sheet music). You can find one just about anywhere.
IDK about standard issue, those are usually piece of shit thin metal, that looks like a solid piece right there..
HAH! I didn't think of that. I guess you called out my inner ...

Yeah... I'll be missing it. Have to work
The first blurb about it wasn't until about three weeks ago. Just not enough time. I'm sorry, Ableton. I have to make money so I can give it to you for all the exciting things you are pumping out this year!

Re: FCB1010 alternatives... I need something smaller.
I just got an x-tempo POK today. Really nice pedal. It sends QWERTY instead of midi, so I you don't NEED midi. I highly recommend it. I got it to replace an fcb1010 as well... POKs are small and easy to throw into a backpack along with another pedal or two.

What functions do you assign to both foot switches for example?

I've been using the BOSS FS-6 with the APC. It gives me two switches to take advantage of the two ports on the APC.
