Re: Options.txt
Thanks, but I don't see an options.txt. Do I have to create one and put the "ReWireSlaveOff" in there for it to work? I'm sorta paranoid about totally screwing something up by just blindly trying it out...edit: I just tried doing that and it still rewires.

Re: Stop Live from installing Rewire on Launch
I guess it comes down to just booting Live first, if you don't want to invoke Rewire. No problem doing that. Or am I missing something you guys want?
For some reason, if I open Live first Cubase refuses to open up at all.

Re: Many questions for those who use hardware synths:
Let me post a step by step process of what I'm doing:
I start a blank project. I insert an external instrument device on a new track. I set my midi and audio ins and outs accordingly. Yes it works fine.
To record notes, I put the loop brackets on 1-5 for a 4 bar section. I turn punch-out on to ...

Korg Electribe EA-1.
According to the manual, it can send and receive CC,Sysex, and NRPN.

Many questions for those who use hardware synths:
I'm using the demo of both live 7 and 8 and I just don't get it!
What I'm trying to do is record the knob movements on my hardware synth into a midi clip. Okay, it records the automation no problem..but it only plays it back some of the time! I have no clue why it plays back some time and not others ...

Question:
Is it free of charge to downgrade?
At this point the only version of Live I have is Lite 5. If I buy Live 8, would it be possible to use Live 7 for free until the bugs are worked out?
