for example I keep my vst effects in a separate ---effects--- folder (so it is the first folder in the list)
browser1 goes to my ableton documents
browser2 goes to my samples
browser3 goes to my midi files

tags for files and plugins would be useful, or at least some kind of "marking"

Hey, can somebody help out me with some kind of piano keyboard "tool" what can be applied to a midi track, and shows the actually played notes on a normal piano keyboard? (I'd like to learn from midi, but I can't rotate my screen)

It is used in here, particularly for the Sax sound, and yeah it looks awesome

As far as I know, SSDs are still inferior to HDDs in warranty times and long-term usage due to their write/read limit
And they're still expensive as hell... I say wait for them to be more developed and be more popular (so it will be cheaper)

At least on PCs, you can relocate most of the vsts inside the main VST directory wherever you want. But of course the best is to install them directly to the desired location.
And yeah, experiment using backups... Some plugins may not like their new place

Certainly, adding this as an option wouldn't hurt, in my opinion... But only if it worth it, cause spending weeks to add this feature for only a small percentage of Live users is not productive. It also needs to be stable and useful, if it is implemented
