Re: indicators of hard disk buffer overload

Look in the top right corner. There's a D. It stands for Dammish mine hard disk is 1 broke. When it lights you invoke glitch across your megadrive thus summoning the ghost of Michel Chion.

Peace out and RTFM. xx

Re: Complex Pro creating global glitches (even when muted)

Ah freezing seems to be a pretty good work around. Thanks!

Weirdly enough I can DJ with it mostly fine, because these errors only occur when a clip starts/loops. As long as I'm just A/Bing I can get away with it.
Could it really be that it's a CPU spike... I mean 70=80%? I've got a fairly decent ...

Re: Complex Pro creating global glitches (even when muted)

I'm aware it uses more CPU. I also don't tend to use complex pro unless I have to... it doesn't sound very good unless in certain situations. I'm really doubting it's a cpu spike, as I've got at least 70% spare most of the time.

Furthermore, just one track on its own using complex Pro will cause ...

Re: Latency issue, what am I doing wrong?

They're not too bad on email. I've sent them a crashlog before.

Ok how about freezing all your other tracks? You'll need to remove your side chain devices and put them back on after you've frozen them. This should dramatically help latency, you should also be able to lower your buffer then.

Re: Latency issue, what am I doing wrong?

No worries, glad to help. I've always found the DI inp's on the Duet to be it's weakest feature (if it has to have one!)

Yes that could be it. Would you mind posting a screen of your mixer for me to have a look at?

Oh wait one another thing... are you using any limiters, vsts etc. Particular the ...

Re: Recording my DJ set live, in Live?

1) Yes

2) Not really. It'll sound yucky unless done very very lightly (limiting only occasional peaks). Use the EQs to balance.

3) This is the same as 2. You can compress the tracks if you want to. I'm just saying it sounds a bit ugly. But if it get's you gigs/money/laid your welcome to **** all ...

Re: Latency issue, what am I doing wrong?

Heya I'm a duet user too. That's clearly an erroneous reading of your overall latency.
The best way to deal with latency is to play a very short defined sample out of and back into the daw in an audio track lined up to a beat (a little tricky with the duet because of its XLRS but with a cable or so ...

Complex Pro creating global glitches (even when muted)

Hi I'm experiencing a problem which makes complex pro unusable for production. This happens across as sets. Effectively at the end of any clip, or as it loops over, a global glitch is created in the audio out on the master. This is not present when the track is soloed, but causes the glitch on the ...

Re: Mixing at -17dB is this bad?

In live 8, simply select all the channels and put the fade however many DB.

In live 7 open up the io section in arrangement view by clicking the io button and manually increase the db on every channel.

Complex Pro creating global glitches (even when muted)

I'm experiencing global glitching in live 8 from cut up samples in complex warp pro mode in a track in arangement view. Even when the track is muted the sound is present in other tracks. There's no side-chaining, or vocoding but when the loop isn't playing the glitching disappears.
This is across ...
