Is there a way to incorporate that turntablist plugin into a dj setup. So I can use the effect on every audio channel whenever I want?

Just remap some stuff over knobs you don't use on your apc. Or get another midi controller, i use the apc 40 in combination w/ behringer bcr 2000. I have the eq, gain from each track mapped on the bcr and the specific effects like looper beat cutter etc.. on the apc 40. It works really well for me ...

Probably a dumb question but how good is the quality of the music you rip from cd's to wav. Compared to wav files you can buy in digital download stores (like bleep, beatport).

finally got my apc 40 w/ presonus firebox but i have no clue what kind of cables i need to get some sound out of my speakers. the only cable i succesfully plugged is the firwire cable to my mac.

anybody can help me out here. the manuel doesn't help at all.

Here's a tutorial explaining the difference.

Basically the mp3s must be decoded to wavs before they're used in live. The wavs are stored on your HDD in a seperate folder (so you may as well simply start with the wav's).

The wav & .wav.asd can then be used on ANY ableton system worldwide ...

I am considering to switch from dj'ing w/ CDJ to Ableton Live. I'm not a big fan of mixing w/ just a laptop so the apc 40 seemed like a perfect console to me.

But my question is: is the APC 40 suitable for dj'ing or only for live sets?

I'd also like to know the pro / con's of dj'ing with ...
