G5 dual 2GHz, Panther 10.3.4, Live 4.0.1


What is the reasoning behind having to press SHIFT as well as click to place the playhead?

I do this all the time whilst working in the ARRANGEMENT VIEW, and it's a real step backwards in 4.0.1.

I've had lots of crashes too. Serious lockups, frozen, need ...

In OSX, the Preferences area is in the pull down menu named after the app you're using. SAFARI, LIVE, MAIL, whatever. It's a no-brainer really.

I hope it's not going to be v4.

v3 should have been 2.5 (like REASON) and this new Altivec-enhanced rebuild should have been v3.

Forgot to mention I was in PANTHER 10.3.2

I had this problem before, then it went away with Live 3.02 - but now it's back.

Same here on 3.02 on a dual G5 2Ghz, using Supatrigger...

After editing waveforms an instant crash happens when PLAY is pressed. Also, after saving and quitting LIVE, it says it's crashed...

In Live 3.0, I stripped all VSTs from my tracks, and saved it. Opened these tracks in 3.0.1 and added the VSTs, no problems!

Would be interested if this works for anyone else?

If you trigger samples in Reason's NNXT from the keyboard, you can use the modwheel to smoothly change the pitch as you play.

With Live 3, when I've midi-ed it up to trigger clips from each keyboard key, the modwheel doesn't work. I can't midmap the modwheel to change the pitch, so I wondered if ...

It's goes away and then comes back again. I can't put my finger on what it is that might be causing it.

Very irritating. (Live 3, OS X 10.2.8, dual 2GHz G5)

It seems like a no-brainer. I'd REALLY like this function!

I wondered if it is possible to play clips backwards? ie. in reverse?
